A simple definition of dating according to Wikipedia is, “a form of courtship by two people to assess each other’s suitability as a partner in a relationship or a spouse.” As simple as that sounds, dating is a stressful experience in any country—usually because there is an evaluation process going on, especially on the first date.

Dating has undergone a transformation over the last several years. Blind dates are still a popular way of meeting new people, along with taking classes and the workplace. However, there is a growing world-wide use of the Internet and social networking to meet new, potential dates. There are also a growing number of online dating websites that help men and women connect with each other.

As much as dating has changed and as stressful as it is for two strangers to go out on a date and get to know each other, the same basic rules still apply. Mutual respect is the foundation for finding a partner. Another important rule is to listen more and talk less. Show genuine interest in what a new date has to say— remembering what is said is important because it is a compliment to the other person. Manners are always important and never go out of style. A date is a special occasion for both people, so treat it like one. Irish dating, like dating in any other country, requires sensitivity and openness for success.

The best asset a person—man or woman—has on a date is self-confidence in who they are. That air of self-assurance puts both of them at ease. Being genuine—being real—is the key to a great date.

You may enjoy visiting a casino every now and then, but have you ever tried an online casino? If you enjoy gambling for the simple fact of playing the games and winning money, online casinos will be the best place to play. Online casinos have many benefits as opposed to a land-based casino.

Higher Payouts

Online casinos don’t have to pay as many employees, so they have more money available to pay out to those who use their site. Most land-based casinos pay out 93% of the money that comes into the casino. Online casinos have more money available for the users and usually pay out 97%, increasing your chances of winning more money. Plus, many online casinos offer a no deposit casino bonus, which means that you don’t even have to give them money before they provide you with a bonus.

You Spend Less Money

There are plenty of ways in which you can save money by playing online rather than traveling to a casino. You will save money on the cost of getting to a casino, and you can play from the comfort of your own home. You will also not be able to buy drinks and other cuisine, which gives you more money to gamble with.

Additional Advantages

Additional advantages of online casinos includes the following:

You can gamble online at 18. The gambling age is 21 because of the drinks served at casinos, but since there are no alcoholic drinks involved in casinos online, you can invest in an online casino at 18.

You can practice games without putting money toward it beforehand and decide to bet money once you feel comfortable with the game.

Online casinos are much more convenient.

For many families, Thanksgiving dinner is one tradition that cannot be topped. Having a great Thanksgiving dinner is important—it can bring the family together and set the tone for the holiday season. There are some important steps to having a great Thanksgiving dinner.

Dinner

Traditionally, having a turkey for dinner is important. This is usually the entire base of the meal. Above and beyond that, many family traditions differ, though most have things like mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and other casserole dishes.

Dessert

A large variety of dessert offerings is common in many families. Some families even pass down their Thanksgiving dessert recipes from generation to generation. Whether being offered one type of dessert or a whole buffet, many people enjoy this part of the Thanksgiving dinner the most.

Family

By far, family is the most important part of a successful and unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner. Getting everyone together for a great holiday dinner is the only time many people will see extended family through the year. Because of this, many people plan for this dinner for months in advance. Getting the perfect combination of food and family members can be a bigger project than originally anticipated.

Pulling off the perfect Thanksgiving meal is the epitome of the year for many people. Having a golden brown turkey, perfectly mashed potatoes, and a delectable pumpkin pie can bring everyone together. The holidays can be a stressful time, but you can help alleviate this stress by having a great meal with those you love.

The importance of family traditions should never be underestimated. When done correctly, traditions can serve as touchstones of childhood and provide family members of various generations with cherished memories.

While it is important to build traditions around holidays and major events, some of the most memorable traditions can also be the simplest: every-day occurrences that take on an increased level of significance over the years. Although movie nights from www.direct.tv shows seem to be very popular, there is also other activities for you.

One of the least expensive family activities that can easily grow into a treasured tradition is also one of the most fun and enduring: family game night. Regardless of the age of your children, chances are good that you can find games they will enjoy (it helps if you get their input while shopping for new games!) and look forward to playing on a regular basis.

The trick to a good family game night is keeping things fun and varied. Here are some suggestions:

Board Games

The classics never go out of style. For younger kids, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders and Trouble are perennial favorites. Older kids may appreciate Monopoly, Sorry or Life.

Card Games

In addition to classic card games such as poker, War and Crazy Eights, kids will also enjoy card games like Uno, Skip-Bo and Go Fish.

Video Games

The new generation of game consoles like the Nintendo Wii include many games that are fun for the whole family, including various sports and carnival style games. These games are ideal for family game nights since they can accommodate up to four players at a time and are designed to be easy enough for young kids (and parents) to enjoy.

Travel expenses have sky rocketed since the recession, since wages are stagnant or declining and price inflation for food, fuel and operational expenses is skyrocketing. The price of airline tickets and a hotel stay are becoming more and more irksome for many lower and middle-class families. In such circumstances, one should use a credit card that awards frequent flier points with every purchase, whether it is at the gas pump, grocery store or apparel shop.

Instant payday loans can be used to make urgent travel arrangements for a wedding or a baby shower, or to attend your ailing grandmother.

You should also talk to friends who are employed with an airline company, since they get affordable buddy passes. Do a thorough price hunt for flight and hotel rates using online portals such as Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire and Priceline. Online portals can be the best way for making travel reservations on a budget. Contact friends on Facebook who live in the destination to which you are heading, and see if they can accommodate you. This might save you some cash on hotel expenses. If you have a family, it may be best to avoid Facebook experimentation and make solid but economical hotel and flight arrangements even if you are on a tight budget.

Travel arrangements should be as flexible as possible so you can adjust the traveling dates while shopping for flights and hotels to see if the prices drop.

Another way to fly or travel for less is by looking at alternative destination airports that are less than 20 or 30 miles away from your favorite airport.

Although the recession may technically be over, America is not out of the woods yet. While many of us have reduced our spending and modified our style of living—perhaps learning a few lessons about what a person really needs to be happy, we have also learned how easily hard times can come by way of company cutbacks, the rising cost of living, and a shaky economy.

However, the leaders of our country have not completely abandoned us. There have been a whole new suite of educational tax deductions and tax credits spearheaded by the White House that are designed to help people go back to school and help them get back on their feet. All things considered, a good education is the first step towards a financially secure future, no matter what state the economy might be in. And, as our government realizes, the middle class is the backbone of our country, and that is who these programs are targeted towards.

With that, people have to roll up their sleeves and make things happen for themselves. The first step is to pursue a college education. You won’t have to face UFX Markets Trading to be experienced. With the popularity and wide variety of online universities and online degrees that are available, today this can be done with more convenience than ever before. Plus, with the influx of people pursuing their education, pressure has been put upon on our leaders to develop more programs that assist people with paying for and obtaining their education. Things such as an increase in grant money to help more people pay for school, and loan benefits that provide incentives, should be the next thing that our country does to give a helping hand to the up-and-coming middle class.

With a more educated workforce, our country can avoid catastrophic economic pitfalls and become stronger and more advanced.

Everybody knows that poverty sucks. If it didn’t more people would probably just lounge around and allow themselves to live at just the basic level of survival. Fortunately for most of the human race, not everybody does that and wealth exists in the first place. However, there are definitely some hopeless poor people out there.

Hopelessness among poor society is a serious problem all over the world. For many people the only thing it seems they can do is simply survive, which ends up feeding itself into a constant loop of never having enough of anything a person desires. When such a situation arises, people tend to simply fall into drinking and drugs and never bother to climb out again. While this is nowhere near healthy it is surprisingly popular among people who feel like nothing is ever going to get any better for them. Sadly enough, this is how a lot of the world’s population lives.

The funny thing about many poor people is that the lack of any kind of expectations allows these poor people to be fairly happy most of the time. While this is the kind of hopeless happiness of a person who is about to go to their doom in the gas chamber, it does help a poor person to make it through an average day. Everybody does something to help them get through situations, no matter how bad they may be. But while some people prefer to work through it, others prefer to shrug through it.

One of the best ways to accomplish this is to make a list of important needs you must have in your home, and then tour houses for sale to find a home with all of your needs.

List Your Home Needs

Every person or family has different needs and wants. Make two lists, one comprising all the items your new home must have. This could include a certain number of bedrooms, a specific size, or certain location. Then make a list of wants. These are characteristics you would like to have, but they’re not deal breakers. This list might include things such as low management HOA fees, a swimming pool, or an extra bathroom.

Learn the Housing Market

Every area of the country has a varied housing market. Take some time to learn about how the market is in your area so when you begin house hunting, you’ll know what to expect.

Tour Homes

You will never know if a home will truly meets your needs until you go see it. Walk through the home, with your needs and wants lists in hand, and make sure it has everything you need. Touring homes is time-consuming, but it’s worth it when you find that perfect home that meets your needs.

As a new high school graduate on the way to college, you may be faced with a number of challenges. These can include living on your own for the first time and adapting to the fast pace of college life.

So, how do you successfully adapt and get on the path to a successful college career? Sure, you say things like “I’m going to earn my degree and get a successful job” and other such platitudes, but you still need to take specific steps to make your college time fruitful.

Here are a few tips to help you adjust.

Use a daily journal or notebook to help you process all the new information you will be experiencing and learning. Higher education is not just about the classroom; you will be gaining life experiences outside of the formal learning process. You will find yourself in new social situations as a part of this experience.

Try out new patterns that will better fit the new demands on your time. Experiment with different study hours and try to socialize with new people. Change your lifestyle to meet the expectations of a different school experience, as well as a new social life.

Go back and read that journal regularly. Look at the changes and events that you have experienced. By reviewing all the activities you’ve already successfully navigated, you can gain a better understanding of your current life that can help you with any future problems and situations.

Be patient and give it some time. Changes are sometimes difficult, and by giving yourself time to adjust to those changes, you’ll feel more comfortable.

You may have been thinking about refinancing your car loan for some time. With the economy the way it is, you have finally decided to take the plunge and go ahead with it. You have done your research and decided which car refinancing company to go with. Here are some tips to help you apply for that refinance loan.

Credit Score

Before applying for car refinance, it is a good idea to have your credit report ready. Most importantly, make sure the report is accurate! In a lot of cases, the interest rate charged depends on your credit score. If you have it wrong you may be charged more interest than what you should be paying.

Details

It is important to have many of the details on your refinance loan the same as on your current loan. This makes it easier for the company to find your loan and to identify it with you. This is especially relevant to your name. Many people use different names and their loans cannot be linked up to one another, therefore they are rejected for refinance.

Close Old Accounts

The more accounts you have linked to your credit, the more chance you have of being rejected. This is because refinancing companies think you may not be able to make repayments on multiple accounts. Close any old accounts that you are not using. It will give you greater chance of being approved.

Refinancing your car loan is a smart move if you want to get a lower interest rate and save money. Keeping the above tips in mind could make the application smother for you.

It doesn’t matter where you fall: upper, middle, or lower class; 9 to 5; day in day; it all seems to be the “normal” grind to make a living. It is the traditional lifestyle that people have pictured for generations. Well, maybe not farmers. Theirs is more sunrise to sunset. Does anyone ever think of working part-time as a regular lifestyle?

Full-time vs. Part-time

With the economy at a bit of a rocky spot, many employers are hiring more and more part-time employees. Why? They don’t have to pay for benefit packages. They also have other people who can fill in if needed. This means more part-time positions are available. Working part-time allows workers to work two or three jobs by scheduling carefully.

A worker can often earn more than they could normally with just one full-time job. Families often need more than one job to make ends meet. Many still want to get the newest technology that comes out.

Fortunately, the new technology often helps with their jobs, helps find jobs and helps them enjoy their job more. For example, the Android Zio. This phone has almost a complete entertainment possibility as well as internet and regular phone features. If your job is one where you can listen to tunes while you work this gadget would certainly make work more appealing.

Benefits Outside the Workplace

The family definitely benefits when bread winners work part-time and coordinate their schedules providing more time at home with little ones. Less time at daycare is easier on the budget as well as being better for family relationships.

Why are traditions so important? Why do people attach so much importance to traditions? There seems to be no logical explanation for the same. Each and every civilization has its own set of traditions and there are very few that have survived the passage of time. However, no civilization has ever acknowledged the futility of traditions and have decided to do away with it.

For a long time, it was considered traditional for men to wear pants and women to wear skirts or frocks. What is the logic behind this? Why is it not the other way around? Why is society so worried about who wears what?

Once we start focusing on the minute points we realize that there is absolutely no logic involved. Traditions can well be called the autocratic laws determined by the social setup. There is no discussion, no debate and certainly no representative participation. In some cases, the rich set up the traditions while in other cases, the masses or the mob decides what the traditions ought to be.

One thing is common-no society likes its tradition to be violated. Even progressive civilizations like the western worlds invariably end up with funny traditions. The very fact that western civilizations consider themselves nontraditional is a traditional in itself. Any person who speaks in favor of these ideas and notions is ridicule.

Complete freedom and independence at an individual level does not exist. One may very well conclude that it is the price that man has to pay for living in society. Whatever the function it performs, the fact that traditions continues means that it is essential and advisable to be complied with.

In such a materialistic world, you can get lost in the rat race and forget to take care of yourself and have good priorities. What you may be looking for is a weekend away to get some clarity. Here are some things you should consider on how to implement a healthy lifestyle, not only on vacation, but also in everyday life.

Take time off. You can’t be healthy if you never get enough sleep or have any down time. If you are from an upper-class home and you can afford a day at the spa, look it up on Canada 411 and schedule a visit. If you find yourself near the lower class, put on the hot water, turn on some music, and soak in the tub. Taking time to yourself will lower your stress level and give you a healthier mind and body.

Live simply. This means letting go of any materialistic mindset you may have and being content with you, your family and a roof over your head. Find joy in a walk through a park and a picnic. Learn to appreciate a classic book. Ask yourself if you feel you need all the little gadgets that seem so important. Recognize that all the things you have or want could be a continual stress to you.

Put people first. The beauty in life is not about owning an iPhone or driving a brand new car. It is about the experiences you have and the relationships you invest in. Begin by taking a weekend away with your spouse, or spending a vacation with your friends. A healthy lifestyle begins with laughter and relaxation.

Every year, Summer brings with it vacation season. Whether you’re an individual or part of a couple or family, you may be feeling the call of the open road or the friendly skies.

Yet sometimes it can seem like taking a vacation is not possible due to finances and economic considerations: Gas and food prices keep rising, many airlines are now charging extra for basic luggage transportation and hotel room rentals can get pricey.

Fortunately, there are lots of ways to save money and vacation on a budget. Here are some tips that can help reduce the financial stress of vacationing:

Pack a cooler
Bringing along some of your own food and drinks will cut down on the amount of money you have to spend at restaurants. Many hotels have refrigerators and microwaves available, so pack some quick and easy meals and snacks. If travelling by car, stop at rest areas or scenic sites for a picnic.

Look for deals
Scouring sites like Expedia, Kayak, Orbitz, Priceline and Hotwire can yield not only discounted airplane tickets, but also discounts on hotels and car rentals. Start searching early and be sure to check multiple sites to get the best deals.

Stay close to home
A memorable family vacation doesn’t need to involve a long flight or cross-country drive. Look for local attractions and events that you are not familiar with and book a room at an inn or a hotel in a nearby city or neighboring state.

Remember – it’s not always the size or scope of the vacation that makes it memorable. A fun or romantic getaway can easily be had without breaking the bank.

Congratulations on the soon arrival of your newborn. You are probably very excited and relieved that your baby is almost here. Most new parents find the last few months before birth eternally long, but it is well worth the wait.

You probably have been tracking your pregnancy week by week; excited at the changes that your little one is going through. You’ll also want to consider the changes that will be occurring once your little one arrives at home. Most of us know life will change once we add baby to the mix, but most of us do not realize how much it will change our lifestyle.

Babies take up a lot of time and energy. Parents become unable to do anything at all for themselves it as they meet the needs of their child. Oft times, in the beginning, it is a guessing game trying to find what baby actually needs.

Fathers need to be aware that mom will need a little extra help and understanding when first arriving home from the hospital. Giving birth can be exhausting. Add in hormonal changes and lack of sleep, you get a very emotional mother.

Adding a baby to the family will change the general dynamics of your lifestyle. No more eating out multiple times a week. Loud groups over for game nights will be put on hold. Now baby’s needs will be considered first. Babies need quiet, calm, and consistency.

Though your life will be changing, baby will be blessing you with so much joy. Enjoy!

If you find yourself in a situation where you are considering suing a medical professional for malpractice, you must know what constitutes malpractice and whether or not you have a valid case.

Before you pursue a medical malpractice case, you need to understand your state’s particular laws; in California, for example, a suit must be filed within one year of the date of the alleged negligence but not more than three years from the date of injury. Fortunately, Los Angeles malpractice attorneys are well versed in medical malpractice law and can be of much assistance.

If you think you are a victim of medical malpractice and are considering legal action, you should be certain that you have a valid case prior to investing time, money and emotion into a malpractice lawsuit.

For a medical malpractice case to be valid, it must be provable that the patient was directly injured as a result of negligence on the part of a medical professional.

The following are examples of potential medical malpractice cases:

A doctor does not act in a timely manner or does not follow standard practice, resulting in injury or death

A doctor does not run the proper standard tests requested by a patient with a valid concern and misses a diagnosis

A doctor misdiagnoses a patient’s symptoms and the patient dies as a result of not receiving proper treatment

Remember – in order for a malpractice case to be valid, the patient must have suffered an injury and the patient’s representative must be able to prove that the medical professional did not adhere to the expected standard of care, directly resulting in the injury.

Planning a vacation that interests every member of your family can feel like a daunting task, especially when you have to think about activities that will appeal to the kids and the grandparents. Of course, you’ll also want to find a vacation package that appeals to you, as well. Keeping all your family’s generations happy will require some extra planning, but it’s not an impossible task.

Finding the Right Vacation Destination

Choosing the right destination is probably the hardest part of booking an intergenerational vacation. You can start by asking people in your family where they would like to go. Gather brochures about each of the places that they mention. That way, you can sit down with everyone one evening to discuss the possibilities. You’re likely to find a solution that interests everyone.

Resources for Your Vacation

If you already know where you want to go for your family vacation, then you just have to figure out what you’ll do when you get there. Luckily, there are plenty of resources that can help you plan your trip. Use the Internet to locate fun activities near your destination.

You can also contact the area’s tourism board to request brochures about educational and recreational site. These brochures often come with discounts and coupons that can help you save money during your trip.

Planning ahead is the key to creating a vacation that every generation in your family will enjoy. Be sure to book your flights, hotel rooms and car rentals in advance to make sure that you don’t encounter any problems when you arrive.

Social media today is all the rage. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the like.

Then there’s the smart phone craze that has swept the globe. iPhone, Android, Blackberry and more.

Computers have gone from warehouse whoppers to desktops, then laptops, and now the handheld.

Apple isn’t only a fruit, and Dell isn’t just the name of your favorite fishing buddy.

Technology has become so engrained in cultures worldwide that it is no longer uncommon to see someone of lower income carrying around the latest set of tech gadgets. We have so many devices in use that we need a superhero’s utility belt just to keep it organized.

With the world swirling around us in the world of Wi-Fi and 4G networks, perhaps it’s time to give yourself a break. Go tech free tonight. Re-discover those things you left behind before constant connection took it away.

Relationships

When was the last time you had a serious date that wasn’t interrupted by someone’s text? Dropping the technology will get you to focus more on those relationships that mean the most. Staying in touch through email, texting or tweeting can be fine, but nothing beats one-on-one, face-to-face interaction.

Relaxation

The problem with always being connected is that you are always connected. Every now and then, it’s good to build some disconnect time. Your mind can rest, your body can relax, and your eyes won’t be so strained.

Focus

Completely cutting yourself off from the connected world can give you some much needed time to re-focus your energy and creativity.

Tech is good, but sometimes non-tech is even better.

Spending bonding time with your children is an important part of them growing up and becoming an adult. For some parents it’s second nature and comes as easily as a duck to water. But there are times when bonding with your child may seem a little difficult. There can be many reasons why you might find it difficult, one most commonly seen these days is the breach in communication between child and adult brought on by technology.

The first thing you should do is find common ground with your child. Find out what interests them and explore those interests. You might find that you both have several interests in common.

Many activities enjoyed by father and son are someway involved in sports. Things such as going to see a game, or playing one on one in the drive way. You could even explore other cultures sports with your child.

If you child doesn’t have any interest in sports there are many other activities, things such as fishing, fixing up an old car, going on a road trip to explore your country, and even helping out in the community together.

Fixing up an old car is one of the best, especially if your son is close to driving age. It can be very rewarding fixing up your own car and then taking it for it’s first drive. And don’t be too worried about not knowing anything about cars, there are plenty of websites and books around which will make it very easy for you.

Most of all, enjoy your time with your son.

Millions of people are online looking for dates. If you’re having trouble, it might be your profile. When you sit down to write your profile it’s hard to decide where to start–so you may start rattling off the old likes and dislikes list. But there’s more to you than your choice of soda. Here’s a little dating advice on ways to express yourself online.

Online dating sites usually include a “summery” of you; your likes, dislikes, tastes in movies/music, a rough rundown of your physical appearance and a box to tell everyone what you’re looking for in a date. Each section is important, so take your time to fill it out. A vital piece of dating advice is to keep your summery short and try to say something eye catching. Accuracy is vital to online profiles because you’re trying to find someone who will like YOU, not an incomplete version of you that has all the bad bits cut out. Be honest about yourself and who you really are. It’s also a good idea to have a friend take a good, clear and fun picture of you.

Here’s one last piece of good dating advice; if you want to attract someone who has similar interests, drives a nice car and has brown hair, make sure you say so in your profile. Describe what you’re looking for in a date, but keep the list of “must-haves” short. If you’re looking for a long-term relationship, say so. Avoid stating that you want a different type of relationship than you really do because that will attract the wrong type of person.

Good luck and good hunting.

Knowing who your ancestors are is very important and can bring a family closer together. Genealogy is the key to finding the information. When first beginning the search, it can be a daunting adventure. Thousands of names are in different databases, so where do you start?

Go to your parents and ask if they know anything about their ancestors. Often times they have a nugget of information that can start you on your search. Particularly ask what city, state, or country their predecessors may have come from. By having that information you narrowed down your field of study.

Hit the net. Start browsing genealogy websites armed with the facts you’ve acquired. The major sites to visit are Ancestory.com, FamilySearch.org and Usgenweb.org. Also check is the Mormon Church Genealogy records, also referred to as LDS. It has one of the most comprehensive list of names that can help you in your search.

Document everything no matter how inconsequential. You never if that one fact can help you later on down the road. Start a family tree (you can find a free one to start at FamilySearch.org) and begin writing names starting with you and any siblings at the bottom, then work your way up.

Some people may not have time to do their own search, whether it be due to kids, or a job. This is where a professional can step in. Be careful, though. With every professional is a con artist waiting to take your money, then say they couldn’t find much. The sites listed above have links to Genealogy experts that can take over and update you on any new discoveries they make.

It’s another Saturday night and you’ve come home empty handed again. You’ve cruised all over town and attracted no one. None. Nada. Zilch. If you’ve made sure to dress in nice, clean clothes and you’ve showered, brushed your teeth and hair, and have some semblance of confidence, then maybe the problem isn’t you. Maybe it’s your car. By making a few quick and easy changes, you can turn your car into a chick magnet that helps you spend fewer Saturday nights alone.

Take a Good, Hard Look at Your Car

Is it old? Is the paint wearing off and it’s rusty? If you drive a 1970s Pinto, it’s no wonder the ladies aren’t responding, or even noticing. You need a good canvas to make a beautiful work of art; jazzing up a junker isn’t going to win you any points. It will definitely get some laughs, though. Most chicks dig sporty, expensive cars like Porches or Beamers, but you don’t have to spend two years’ salary for a car. Buy something with sleek lines and an engine with power that’s within your budget. Having zero cash won’t win you any dates.

Make it Yours

Customizing your car to suit your personality is one way to broadcast a sense of who you are. Adding a set of nice rims or a spoiler on the back can boost your car’s coolness factor. Headlight, tail light, and license plate covers are inexpensive methods of adding individuality to your vehicle. Window decals can be relatively inexpensive and can be completely custom made; make sure you have a professional install any decals. Crooked decals look ridiculous. If you’re serious about spending some extra dough on your car, get custom paint work or a body wrap. Artists can airbrush virtually any image onto a car and wraps come in any fathomable design.

Create an Atmosphere

The inside of a car is just as important as the outside. Keep your car clean and smelling fresh. Chicks will not like riding in a car full of old burger wrappers that reeks of foot stench. Use an air freshener, but make sure it’s not obnoxious and overpowering. Spend some cash on a decent sound system. Factory stereos are fine, but nothing speaks cool like a guy who wants the best for himself. Romantic music coming through a static-ridden, crackly system won’t have the desired effect.

Maintain Under the Hood

Take care of your car. Regular maintenance is important not only for your car, but for a first impression. Picking a date up in a car bellowing smoke or making strange noises will definitely alter her opinion of you. A first date spent stranded on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck isn’t likely to encourage her to return your calls in the future. Some girls may even be creeped out by a breakdown in the dark.

Spending some extra cash and effort on your car can show you are willing to spend money and time on something you care for. Women are looking for men that take care of the things they love.

Money is a huge issue in most marriages. In fact, 90 percent of divorces today revolve around disputes over finances. There are a few factors that contribute to the problems.

Couple who don’t talk about their money problems. Communication is the key to a great relationship- in every area of their lives. The burden of what bills to pay should be shared by both parties.

This lead to one partner possibly using money as a way to gain control in the relationship. If they handle the money, they hold the power over what they do and where they go. Often, these people do that because they feel powerless in other parts of the relationship.

How someone is raised has an impact on how they manage money as a grown up. The individual whose family had to pinch pennies is far more likely to be frugal in her, or his, adult life. This can cause coflict for a partner that never had to worry about money growing up.

Sharing accounts can be a negative with certain couples. It becomes a full conversation every time on person pulls out a check or debit card. What are you using it for? Do we really need that? Money now becomes a daily battle that can weaken any strong relationship. Some relationship experts believe it’s better to have one joint account for the bills nd two separate accounts- one for each partner. This way, if the wife buys something, she can use money from her account and avoid another discussion about the funds. The same goes for the husband in the relationship.

For some couples, sharing an account is ideal but the most important thing is communication and compromise.

There is no reason not to include the family pet in the fun at Halloween. Costume makers are producing more and more outfits just for dogs and cats that are perfect for taking the pet out trick or treating. The pet costumes that are available allow you to turn your dog into a pirate or cowboy and just about anything else that you can imagine.

Everyone has seen a little Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz come to their door on Halloween. Most times she will be carrying a little stuffed dog to look like Toto, but imagine your neighbors surprise when you bring your dog up to their door dressed like Dorothy. A costume featuring the blue and white checked dress that Dorothy is famous for is for sale online in a variety of sizes to fit most dogs. If you really want to turn heads, have your child dress up as Dorothy too and trick or treat with the dog, or maybe have the child dress as the wicked witch or scarecrow.

There are so many creative things you can do with pet costumes. You could dress your children and the family dog in complimentary costumes. If you have a boy that wants to dress up as Batman, get a Robin costume for the dog. Maybe the kids want to dress up as cowboys this year, and then you could dress up the pet as an Indian or a horse. There are a number of clever ways that you can make Halloween more fun this year for everyone including your pet.

Many communities have contests at Halloween for the best dressed pet. Find out if there is one near you and enter it. Most dogs love being the center of attention and dressing them up in costume and fussing over them will make their tails wag even more.

There are very definite class distinctions in America-both social and economical. With social distinctions comes a difference of social values and traditions in each area. The traditions in one poor family may differ from a middle class or upper class family. For what is society but a collection of worlds within worlds? Each group of people have definitive actions that make them who they are.

There is no doubt the lower economic class have different tradition than the middle or upper class. While the higher class may be able to take trips to different cities and countries, poor people don’t even consider that. Many can’t even afford a tree at Christmas time to decorate, let alone have a lot of presents under the tree. So then what?

Those who grow up in poverty have to make do with what little they have. Family is the most important thing in any social structure, but especially for those less fortunate. Many poor children are raised by single parents who can’t give them attention all the time and work to put food on the table. This is where the importance of traditions come into play. Something as simple as attending midnight mass together at Christmas time makes an impact.

These actions can be applied to any class level, even with the differences that divide them. Yet each world within a world is different, especially when one starts to examine the heritage of a person. For instance, a poor Trinidadian family would have different traditions than an American lower class family. Everything from food to social customs would vary. Each heritage, regardless of social status would retain their traditions. Hispanics, no matter their financial situation, still cook black beans and rice. Maybe sharing a similar culture creates a deeper unity across the boundaries. This is a concept that only adds depth to the social class debate.

New Money. This is a term used to describe those lucky individuals who, through some chance of fate, have come into a substantial amount of income in a short time. Athletes are a clear example of New Money. Some handle their new status with style and grace, investing the finances in practical things. Other spend it on the ten cars they rarely drive to go with their ten homes across the world. Not to mention the spending on clothes, jewels, the list can go on forever.

Why would one spend wisely as the other blows a million dollars in a day?

A major factor is where they come from. There is no doubt each and every athlete has worked hard to get to the professional level they have attained and the drive to succeed has kept them there. Yet the social class of a person does have an impact on how they deal with the change in income. People from poor homes believe money buys you status and respect while Old Money, people who have wealth stretching back generations, believe it is the values, education and style you teach.

Lack of education is another aspect. Those growing up in poverty stricken neighborhoods often times don’t go to school or don’t pay attention when they do. Many parents don’t instill the need for a good education in their children, especially once they realize their child can play a sport very well. It is not uncommon for a teacher to pass a student who happens to be the star quarterback. Many poor children have no infrastructure of managing money. The only role models they have as far as wealth goes are the drug dealers in the street that roll around in expensive cars and the latest fashion.

Is it any wonder they emulate that pattern when they “come up” in the world?

Racism in America is slowly fading as another issue rises: prejudice among the three tiered classes. Particularly, the lower class struggles in today’s social economic hierarchy. Poor Whites and Blacks are being discriminated in different ways, but there is thought that perhaps lower class whites are feeling the heavier burden in certain regards.

In certain towns, blue collar whites sometimes have a harder time of finding a job. Many labor positions (such as janitor, construction, etc) are filled by minorities in cities with higher percentages of the latter. Also, some business owners will not hire a white laborer if most of the owner’s staff are black or Hispanic because the workers may not get along.

In the college application process, poor white kids are overlooked for similar income black youth. Many schools- from pre-k up to college- have a certain quota of minorities to fill. It is why a college advisor in high school may tell a mixed girl of black and white origin to mark her race as African American on applications. By doing that, she would have more of a chance to be accepted by more colleges and have greater opportunities for grants and loans.

Perhaps black history is partly to blame for these events. It is no secret African Americans were persecuted against in the past, and still are to a certain extent, but the need to “make it right” can affect whether a low class black or white is hired at a job. A business owner may hire a black man over a white so as not to be labeled as prejudice. Both candidates may be from the same neighborhood, but how their color is perceived by others separates them.

In the past, many employers hired minorities because the workers would accept lower wages than a white person would. Whether that is still a factor today, no one is certain. The class distinction is widening daily in this struggling economy and everyone is struggling.

Apple Bottoms was founded by Cornell Haynes Jr., the music mogul, artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist also popularly known as Nelly. Along with his friend Ian Kelly and cousin, Yomi Martin they altogether launched this family-oriented clothing line in 2003. Nelly is known for his many works as an artist, Multi-platinum Grammy award winner for his albums and he also starred at Adam Sandler’s remake film The Longest Yard. Many are not aware that aside from his talents, Nelly did not stop from reaching his goals. He has done advertisements for Ford Motors Company, and Got Milk. He also signed a one year deal to Nike for a limited edition sneaker called “Air Derrty”. He also became the CEO for Derrty Entertainment and also entered the clothing line business where he found Vokal a clothing line for men and Apple Bottoms which started as clothing line for women and had become famous for their first collection Apple Bottom jeans which caters for all shapes and sizes for women and it had sold out faster than what the company has expected. Nelly and the Apple Bottom team’s primary objective are for the clothes to fit the women perfectly, and not for women to fit the clothes.

Apple bottoms wanted to point out that women need not to try so hard in losing weight because Apple Bottoms offers their clothes in all sizes to fit them perfectly. Due to its success Apple Bottoms later on expanded into Apple Bottoms Clothing for Girls, and today it has now become not just a clothing line for women but family-oriented line, since they also started selling footwear, swimwear, children’s clothes, bags and accessories. In 2004, Apple Bottoms made 50 million dollars for their revenue, a sure success.

The current generation commonly referred to as generation Y or the net generation is much more dependent and intertwined with technology than previous generations. This generation uses technology as part of their everyday lives and relies much more heavily on technology as a means to complete everyday tasks as well as a social network.

The net generation uses technology for almost every aspect of their lives. This generation uses cell phones, laptop computers, technological electronic readers, and applications on their phones for everything from music to learning to read radiological MRI scans. Additionally, they rely on digital cable, internet phone service, blue-ray, smart phones, and electronic learning games.

Furthermore, this generation also relies heavily on the use and integration of technology throughout education. Although not all schools have the resources or the access to technology that they would like most schools at least have access to computer labs, digital document displays, and in many cases smart boards.

Often this generation uses this technology to interact with peers, to create relationships through social networks, to share ideas, inspirations, and goals, and to do everything from reading a book to shopping online. The use of the internet as a resource for information and entertainment also has a heavy emphasis for this generation.

Thus, the current generation is often called the net generation. This generation has also become almost inseparable from technology. As technology advances and new generations embrace these advances, we might well see even more significant changes in the way people interact with each other and in the way they participate in their daily lives.

The American middle class is now more often defined by their values rather than simply their income levels. In many case, the American middle class values are characteristic of the typical American dream. There values are more characteristic of this lifestyle than income alone.

In some cases, even Americans with lower incomes can attain a middle class lifestyle. In other cases, some families will exhibit the typical values characteristic of the middle class but do not have the financial means to obtain this lifestyle.

Typical values associated with a middle class lifestyle include several aspects. These aspects include a tendency towards planning for the future which includes retirement, future expenses, and higher education for their children. Additionally, middle class values often include a desire to be in control of their future, respect for and abidance of the law, and a desire for a good education for themselves and their children.

Finally middle class values also typically include a goal to move forward in socio-economic status which, is obtained through good education and hard work. These values also include a desire to protect their families from various hardships such as health issues, financial difficulties and crime.

Although the values and goals are typical characteristics of a middle class lifestyle, income does play a role in ability to attain these goals and support these values. Middle class Americans often plan ahead and save to obtain their goals and make a conscience effort to live within their financial means. Thus, a middle class lifestyle is much more than a household income but rather a way of life complete with values, goals, and desires to attain a better quality of life.

You’ve met the perfect girl, dated for a while and now you are sure she is the one for you. You have no question that she would make a wonderful wife and lifetime partner.

The only real issue on your mind is: will she have you?

This is a rather important issue and one that you should be fairly sure of before you “pop the question.” Fortunately, there are a few ways to be as prepared as possible before taking the leap.

Talk About Marriage

The idea of marriage should be talked about before you ever propose. This will determine if you are both on the same page and experiencing similar feelings—a rather important point in the idea of getting married.

Surprise Her

Even if you have talked about marriage at length, let the actual proposal be a surprise. Make it a very personal and unexpected moment.

Know What You Are Saying

A little practice goes a long way. Don’t become tongue-tied at the most important moment of your life.

Engagement Ring!

Do your homework on this subject. Let the ring reflect her taste and uniqueness as much as possible. If you are unsure, then make part of your proposal a trip to the jewelers together. Check out engagement.jrdunn.com for some ring ideas.

That Special Place

Where you propose can also be very important. It is certainly something that both of you will want to remember with fondness for the rest of your lives, so choose wisely. Probably shouting it at a ballgame isn’t too smart. Just be creative and aware of her favorite places, whether it is a romantic restaurant or a spot by the sea.

Old Fashioned is Good

Go ahead and drop to your knees for that moment every girl dreams of. And even though this is the 21stcentury, make sure you get her parents’ approval. And above all, give her a little time to answer.

You won’t be sorry!

Most Americans consider themselves as part of the middle class or sometimes referred to as the working class. Additionally, many people also consider the middle class to be defined by income levels or in some cases by employment. However, these aspects are not the only characteristics that define the American middle class.

Historically, the middle class was defined mainly by income level. However, more recently it has been suggested that the middle class is more of a specific type of lifestyle rather than just an income designation.

Middle class Americans are often defined by their aspirations and goals. This social class typically desires to own their own homes, to be able to provide their children with higher education, and the desire to be able to participate and plan family functions such as vacations.

Although it is possible to attain a middle class lifestyle on a lower income it is more difficult now than it was 20 years ago. Rising costs in housing, education, and healthcare, as well as other financial demands placed on many families can impede a family’s ability to attain middle class lifestyles.

Additionally with rising costs and slower increases in family incomes, many dual income families can have difficulty in attaining a middle class lifestyle.

What is clear is that the middle class has become more of a lifestyle description including goals, aspirations, and values rather than simply an income designation. On the other hand, it is not necessarily as attainable as many would believe. In fact, most Americans who consider themselves middle class have the desire to be middle class but have yet to achieve that goal.

You imagine the possibilities of a new home or office, and you ask how in the world to make your vision a reality. You’ve got a full-time job, relationships, a family and lots of other commitments. You’re a middle-class person and you’ve learned to leverage your time. How do you make your new space beautiful, on time, using the budget you’ve got?

Think about hiring an interior designer. Using the skills of a designer isn’t the privilege of the rich and famous or the upper class.

Mary Rogers, an interior designer, thinks you should consider using a professional who will work with you. “Remember, you’re the boss. You aren’t giving anybody carte blanche to buy anything without your approval. You are going to share your idea of what you want the space to look like, what colors you prefer, what furniture you already have that you plan to use. You want to find a professional who will listen, then provide you with a plan that details the steps, the costs and the projected look of the space.”

How do you find a professional? The best way may be to ask friends for their suggestions. If you’ve visited a friend’s house and particularly admired their design, tell them so. Ask if they worked with an interior designer. Get referrals from at least three people whose experience and feedback you trust. Then interview the interior designers and make notes.

Rogers recommends speaking frankly with the designers about your budget. You want no surprises, and aren’t seeking someone who’s unwilling to execute your vision. Ask each professional for additional references, at least two or three clients who have worked with the designer within the past six months. If the interior designer resists, cites client confidentiality or asks you to consider only a sheaf of handwritten references, pass. You must ask questions of prior clients to learn if this is the interior designer for you.

“Plan ahead,” Rogers recommends, “You’ll be happy you did.”

Have you ever wanted to make your own host gift to demonstrate what a creative, thoughtful guest you are? In this technology-focused age, think about your host’s lifestyle. Your hosts will think you spent and labored long.

If you’re focused on developing relationships in business or personal life, giving your host or hostess a personalized favor conveys thoughtfulness. Create wondrous gifts that demonstrate your creativity without spending a lot of money. If you live on a budget, extend your generosity without extending your wallet. Start friendship traditions with small steps.

Know your host. What are his passions? What makes him smile? If your host loves cooking, buy an extravagant-looking (but not -costing) bowl or plate. If you browse sale racks at high quality discount outlets, you can find this sort of item for $1.00-2.00. If your hostess loves to serve the latest martinis, buy a beautiful glass or two to use as containers. Then, depending on the goodies used to fill them, include hand-written recipes on scrolls (tied with ribbon), easy mixes (cool drink mixes), and utensils.

When you have arranged your “basket”, wrap it with clear or colorful cellophane, secure with curling ribbon (multiple colors look lush and people always seem to comment about how they can’t curl ribbon.) Use scissors just sharp enough, then pull the ribbon across the grain to make springy curls. No need to buy costly pre-made ribbons!

Be confident that your gift will make all others pale by comparison! Unless you share these tips, your host may believe you spent a small fortune to have a clever gift-making company create it!

Keep prepared host gifts for emergencies. Last minute invitations from your boss or a new friend happen. For people who like to garden, give eed packets with special appeal (ones they won’t easily find at the nursery) to assemble a “garden collection.” If your host loves roses, give him an assortment of wild rose seeds from your garden or give him exotic seeds collected from a seed seller.

Have you ever been to a theme party before? If you have not, then you are seriously missing out on something grand and special. While most people might think you are a little strange for doing something like this, rest assured that they are just going to miss out on a lot of fun, and some very interesting stories. After they hear about a couple of your special theme parties, all of the folks who think you are an oddball might finally give in and try it for themselves. Naturally, your options are limited only by what you can dream up (and possibly what kinds of costumes you and your guests can find on costumeexpress.com. One of the very best types of theme parties is a Victorian dinner party.

Victorian dinner parties are very interesting, both because they lend themselves to people trying to speak in absolutely silly accents (and naturally running into arguments between the French and British imitators) and because they allow you and your guests to indulge in some serious finery. There are no finer or more fancy outfits than those which were worn during the Victorian age. While the serious gaudiness of the earlier days were tempered somewhat by the reign of Queen Victoria, this actually worked very well to keep things within the realm of reason.

While the men could still wear outfits that do not look too different from today’s tuxedos and the women would wear gowns, their relationship to what people wear today is rather like comparing a Model T to a Tesla Roadster. As your guests bow to one another and you begin to eat a multiple course meal or just nibble on Victorian-themed and debate whether Mary Shelley was the equal of Edgar Allen Poe, it will feel like a blast from the past. There is just something special about dressing up in your finest finery or just in that old Halloween costume.

Relationships and music go together. Technology used to distribute music to the masses in 1980 appears positively antique in today’s download music from the Internet world. Generations of music lovers spent time and money at the music store, traded albums and sheet music with friends. Here’s remembering 1980s music hits:

1. “Pretty in Pink”: Originally recorded in 1982, the Psychedelic Furs re-recorded this song for the movie. An English rock group formed in 1977, originally as RKO, later recorded as The Europeans.

2. “I Want to Know What Love Is,” from Foreigner’s “Agent Provocateur” album of 1984, was a hit in 1985. If you ever asked yourself what love is, listen up. Interestingly, the album name from which this song comes is now the name of a lingerie site!

3. “Rock the House,” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. Listen up to Will Smith. This song remains as fun–and fresh.

4. “It’s Like That/Sucker MCs,” by Run DMC: led the way for hip-hop. Their “over-the-top” aggressive style combined with hard-hitting rhythm and beats alienated some but they captured raw socioeconomics: “Champagne, caviar and bubble bath, But see ahh, ah that’s the life, ah that I lead, And you sucker MC’s is who I please.”

5. “9 to 5,” by Dolly Parton was also a popular hit movie.

6. “Planet Earth,” by Duran Duran. Cosmically commercial in the Reagan era, “Star Wars” (the movie and Reagan’s anti-nukes, Duran Duran gets the moment, recalling Edna St, Vincent Millay!

7. “I’ve Got a Rock & Roll Heart,” by Eric Clapton. A breath of Eric Clapton was cool, and it still is.

8. “Candle in the Wind,” by Elton John. The first version about Marilyn Monroe later did double-duty at Lady Diana Spencer’s memorial.

9. “This Time It’s For Real,” by disco’s Donna Summer. In 1989, messaging options were not as diverse as today!

10. “All She Wants To Do Is Dance,” by Don Henley. A former member of “The Eagles,” Henley’s music morphed to 1984: “All she wants to do is dance…and make romance.”

Are you looking for the splendor of big city life without overcrowding? Are you tired of all the cold and snow that makes spending time outdoors all but impossible for half of the year? Then considering moving south–the southern states are hot, and that is not only because of the temperature. The new American South is a hotbed of economic growth and technological innovation that is smashing the outdated stereotype of southern backwardness.

Even as the South moves forward, the region remains tied to its heritage. Southern cities such as Savannah, Georgia, and Raleigh, North Carolina, feature some of the most beautiful architecture in the United States. People choose to live in the American South for a number of reasons. The American South has its own culture, cuisine, and dialect. So-called “traditional” values are still used and taught in this region. Visit the South for the accents and stay for the lifestyle.

Raleigh is named after British explorer Sir Walter Raleigh. This tie to early American history remains an important part of Raleigh’s cultural heritage. Life in Raleigh means being a part of a living history. Raleigh was founded in 1792, but its significance to the state has only grown since its founding. The capitol city is the second largest in the state.

Raleigh is known for its oak-tree-lined streets, which has led to the nickname “The City of Oaks.” Due to its natural beauty, temperate climate, and the strength of its growing economy, Raleigh has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. Whether visiting the state house or the emerging business district, many visitors to Raleigh end up staying.

Affordable Raleigh apartments can easily be found and turned into a beautiful homes in a wonderful setting. A combination of a desirable climate, reasonably priced housing, and a growing economy make picturesque Raleigh a desirable location to call home.

Family gardening traditions across the generations often include growing peonies. Keep in mind these simple tips and your peonies will thrive as you cure wounds of color-deficiency. Grow relationships by giving gorgeous bouquets!

Strictly speaking, there are three types of peony: the herabeous form, which dies back in winter; the tree peony, a woody shrub which does not die down over winter; and the hybrid, which brings additional color, foliage and earlier blooms, ranging from the single bloom–a few broad petals–to the flamboyant double-double, where the bloom completes the doubling process.

The popularity of the peony matches the wide-ranging climate conditions in which the plant may be grown. Well-adapted to cold as well as warmer weather throughout the southern USA, USDA zones 4 through 8-9 on the west coast, peonies are known throughout the country as cheerful and usually hardy flowers. For those living in zones 4 and 5, remember to protect your plants in winter with good moisture-absorbing mulch.

The peony requires a well-drained, fertile soil with a ph of 6-7.2 and six full hours of direct sunlight, but don’t be afraid to plant under light canopies providing dappled sunlight, as this replicates the original Chinese environs!

Plant the herbaceous variety 15 inches apart with at least five foot gaps for the larger hybrids. The tree peony requires four to five feet gaps located 9 feet or more from the roots of large trees to prevent competition for needed water and nutrients. Peonies are quite drought resistant, so don’t over water, and standing water is the number one enemy of these beauties. Plant September to early October. Remember, plant herbaceous types so the highest crown bud is two inches below soil surface. Tree peonies need to be deeper. At the same time, older plants can be divided.

Don’t cut the woody stems of the tree variety. Remove the dead leaves and cut the herbaceous form to one inch above soil level. Use a fish or seaweed fertilizer every two to three weeks during growing season.

Contact the American Peony Society for more information.

Making the perfect omelet is fun. Some families create verbal traditions about making the perfect omelet. Generations of families pursue the idea of crafting—and eating—the perfect omelet. In today’s technology-driven world, cooking and enjoying food remains one of the most personal and intimate pleasures.

First, decide upon the kind of omelet you want. When ordering an omelet in most U.S. restaurants, you receive a “fluffed” omelet. This delicious concoction is achieved by separating and beating egg white and yolk separately, and then folding together. Beating the eggs volumizes them, making this kind of omelet perfect for fillings.

Visiting several diners in Rhode Island, nine out of 10 guests at The Blue Plate Diner prefer the fluffed variety.
Bob Malloy, visiting the beach from New Hampshire, said “I like a breakfast omelet that is light and tender, slightly browned and filled with favorite cheeses.”

Sandra Collins from Providence, Rhode Island agreed “Definitely like to eat fluffy puffy omelets. My husband thinks a flat omelet is a discard.”

Of course, lovers of the classic frittata disagree. Elizabeth Marcoux said “Giada De Laurentiis has a great recipe for tiny frittatas. We eat them any time.”

“Think souffle,” said Malloy. “I have an omelet pan that folds over. My wife thinks that’s cheating.”

Start with fresh eggs at room temperature. “You can tell the difference,” says Fran, Malloy’s wife.

Assemble filling ingredients before you start cooking the omelet. “It is distracting to run to the chopping board when your omelet is almost cooked through. This is a recipe for burned breakfast,” suggests Kim Carpenter, the Malloy’s daughter.

Crack and divide the whites from yolks. With a hand-held electric beater, whip the egg whites until peaks form. Fold in well-beaten yolks until the mixture is a uniform light lemon yellow.

Use a designated omelet pan. A non-stick frying pan with a heavy bottom also works well.

Experienced cooks prefer a gas stove. ”Cook the eggs about 45 seconds, then rock the pan to allow uncooked mixture to heat. When the top of the omelet is still “moist-looking,” Malloy says “Flip it!”

Baby Phat has been a leader in the hip hop fashion industry for years. By providing affordable clothing made with quality materials that appeal to young urban woman, they have become a profitable company that offers cutting-edge style year after year. Baby Phat manufactures attractive apparel for women of all ages and sizes, with a product line that varies from lingerie to outerwear. If you’re shopping for footwear or handbags, this brand can fulfill your needs in these areas, as well. In fact, the Baby Phat fan can dress in their favorite clothing line from head to toe, from inside to out, and top it all off with a generous spray of Baby Phat’s signature scent, Fabulosity!

Baby Phat History

If you think Phat refers to size, you might be in for a surprise. It actually stands for pretty, hot, and tempting! Baby Phat first drew attention by producing tiny little tees with the company logo strategically placed across the front to accent the Phat Farm line. Soon, this became a craze, and the owners decided to launch a complete line of sportswear. In 2004, Baby Phat was bought by Kellwood, and the line was expanded even further. Today, a dedicated fan base swears by Baby Phat clothing for everything from a casual trip to the local store to a night out at the club!

Baby Phat 2011

For spring 2011, Baby Phat is bringing something fresh to the runways. With a neutral color scheme and lovely pale yellow accents, this collection is both playful and clean. Instead of being over-the-top and diva-appropriate, a more refined look has entered the Baby Phat scene. Gone are most of the logos and bling in favor of a more understated look. Think casual, feminine, and amazing for Baby Phat Spring 2011! Baby Phat continues to evolve as a clothing line. Expect to see this label well into the future.

Building a sandcastle is a fantastic memory for children to carry for generations. Family traditions of idyllic vacations spent at the beach transcend current lifestyle and relationships. Easy to make once you pack the sand tightly in a form-container, take icing spatulas and unleash your creativity! No technology or materialism is required!

Take pictures and write poems about the experience later.Though some use cement to build a sandcastle, you are a purist and want to use only sand and water. The key to making any good sandcastle is to pack the sand really tightly. You and your contributor(s) are going to take buckets of sand and pack these into a container that will allow you to form the foundation and scaffolding of your structure.

1. A form without a top or bottom works well. You can make a form in any shape (from wood or hard plastic), if a square or rectangular shape isn’t ultimately what you want. Spread sand in thin layers. Fill and compact the sand. Repeat! (Your creation will probably be smaller than the original shape. Start bigger, remove sand for the shape you want.)

2. Add water to the sand you’ve collected it. Mix the sand and water within the container.

3. Then stack forms. Let’s say you want to build a step pyramid like the one your daughter loves from ancient Egypt. Stack smaller rectangular forms on the base of the pyramid. Just pack the sand–amazing! If you want to make a heavenly sandcastle, design the castle’s base and then design the turrets as you move up. The foundation solidifies your structure and makes scaffolding for your castle. Carve from the top down, though.

4. If you are building an elaborate sandcastle: Build away from the shore! If you start today on a very large construction, it may take you several days to finish.

In an ideal world, married or living together couples share the same idea of what shared living space should look like. Freedom to express yourself is important right in any relationship. Decide on common space, but maintain personal space. Remember to respect the privacy of your roommate or loved one.

Arrange your technology separately, because sharing a computer desk or table tempts some to browse through emails or recent search history of the computer.

Your lifestyle should reflect what’s affordable for you. If splitting the costs with a friend helps you rent a great apartment, consider separate bathrooms as a basic requirement. Don’t think that traipsing through your roommate’s space isn’t grounds for murder! What if you really need to use the upstairs bathroom when your roommate’s boyfriend visits?

Don’t use your roommate’s hair care products or food she buys for a dinner she’s preparing for other friends. She’s not materialistic. She’s on a budget, like you.

As Robert Frost said, “Good fences make good neighbors.” Doors and decor count help make long-lasting cohabiting persons friends for life, or enemies with a cause.

When you’re married, think about two bedrooms. Plan to share a bedroom, but maintain a place of your own. Decorate the shared bedroom in a simple, tasteful way that isn’t too girly or man-cave. Keep two separate closets, two bath areas, a living room and an office space with two desks.

These aren’t the suggestions of an upper class real estate maven. Share expenses to get the apartment, house or office of your dreams. Share the space with the person sharing the bills. Keep your relationship honest and friendly. Love blossoms, and friendship lasts with his-and-hers, hers-and-hers or his-and-his space.

Maintaining private space makes good relationships better. If it’s bad to begin with, nothing helps!
